E-mail: alan [dot] pasemko [at] royalroads [dot] caShortly after his graduation with an MBA from the University of Toronto, Alan held the position of chief financial analyst for the Food Away From Home division of General Foods Canada.
From there Alan went onto create his own restaurant company in southern Ontario and grew his concept from an idea to seven stores, was expanding by franchising and became a publicly traded company. Over the past nine years Alan has evolved a strategic planning and advisory company, Theme Management, which assists new and expanding food service companies secure financing and prepare for growth.
Alan grew up in an entrepreneurial family hotel business and learned first hand the principles of such important concepts as the “parsimonious path to profit”. In addition to his own ventures, Alan has assisted many clients secure both bank and investor financing through his consulting work. Alan instructs Business Strategy, Entrepreneurial Expertise and the Entrepreneurial Project courses at RRU.
Alan holds an MBA from the University of Toronto with a concentration in marketing and finance, as well as BA in Life Sciences from Queen’s University. While doing his MBA, Alan and select group of students ran a small business consulting service from the University.
In his spare time, Alan enjoys rowing, running, kayaking and baking the best pizza and bagels in town.
