In addition to being an associate faculty member of the Royal Roads University School of Leadership Studies, I am a full-time member of the psychology faculty at Camosun College in Victoria. Previously I served five years as the Dean of Access Programs and First Nations Education at Camosun.

My previous professional experience includes being a secondary school counsellor in Honolulu, Hawaii, a community college counsellor, instructor, and administrator in the California Community College System.

My Doctorate in Educational Leadership is from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Masters’ Degree in Psychology, Counseling, and Guidance from the University of Northern Colorado. My areas of interest include leadership & accountability, organizational change & sustainability, and leading edge research designs. My other RRU work includes facilitating LEAD 516, Leadership, LEAD 566 MBA Leadership, LEAD 563, Research, CAMN 575 Peace & Conflict Research, and I have supervised over 75 School of Leadership Major Projects since 2000.

I live in Brentwood, a small village about 20 minutes north of Victoria, with my wife Janet who is a member of the senior faculty at Camosun College in the School of Health and Human Services. Our oldest son is a second-year medical student at the University of British Columbia and our youngest son is a recent Royal Roads Graduate from the School of Business (BCom) and is currently the Director of Corporate Relations for Som Visao, a sonogram and health spa in Vancouver, British Columbia, that he and his brother opened in December 2007.
