As an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Management, Dr. Ingrid Kajzer Mitchell coordinates the FoM Marketing courses. Prior to joining the Faculty in October 2007, Ingrid worked in the Department of Marketing at Strathclyde University, UK, where she also earned her PhD (Marketing).

Her research interests include marketing and social change, marketing and sustainable development, and critical perspectives in marketing. In particular her current work examines barriers to change amongst marketing professionals, and the role of creativity in building sustainable futures. Recent highlights include working with InterfaceFLOR Europe to understand and integrate sustainability into their marketing strategy and marketing operations, and contributing to the new book, Critical Marketing: Defining the field (publisher: Butterworth-Heinemann).

In the past Ingrid has also been involved in Sustainable Design projects with Glasgow School of Art, and has organised and facilitated Sustainable Marketing & Innovation workshops with various organisations including the Centre for Sustainable Design, UK. Ingrid has a wide range of teaching interests and experience of undergraduate, postgraduate teaching and in-house training programs. She has taught marketing and sustainability, social marketing, corporate social responsibility, strategic marketing, marketing management, cultural issues in international marketing, and research methods using a variety of teaching approaches, including cases, simulations, role-playing, and debates.

Outside of work Ingrid enjoys travelling, spending time with her family and friends, good food, painting and drawing.
