Mr. Landon Schmidt is Vice President of Impact Business Network Ltd. Impact Business Network Ltd. provides project management and management consulting services to organizations across North America. Over his career, Landon led numerous strategic Information Systems development projects for utilities, banks, municipal and provincial governments, manufacturing, transportation, and large-scale non-profit organizations.

Over the past thirty-three years in the Information Systems industry, Landon has grown his project management and management consulting skills through hands-on project assignments. He credits his ability to successfully deliver quality projects on-time, on-budget, and on-scope to his ability to clearly communicate expectations, commit stakeholders and project teams to schedules and deliverables, and to encourage and support the project team, especially when they feel under pressure.

Landon holds a Computer Systems honours diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). He graduated from Royal Roads University with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Digital Technologies degree in May 2003. He won RRU’s Founder’s Award for leadership, sustainability, and personal development. Landon also earned his Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation in 2005.

In 2002, Landon taught Project Management principles for Royal Roads University’s Project Management Graduate Certificate Program and in 2003 in RRU’s Master of Arts in Distance Learning. Landon also taught Information and Technology Management to undergraduate learners in RRU’s BComm. program. He currently teaches Management Consulting and Project Management courses in the MBA program.

Landon served three terms as the Program Director of Vancouver Island’s Project Management Institute (PMI) Chapter. He served four terms the Canadian Association of Management Consultants – Vancouver Island Chapter and one year on the CMC-BC Board. Landon is now the Secretary Treasurer of the National CCSVI Society, a volunteer driven, non-profit society dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by CCSVI primarily through advocacy, research and education.
