She is an Associate Professor of Management at the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor. She teaches Management, Human Resource Management, Interpersonal Dynamics, Organizational Behaviour and Organizational Change.
Her academic leadership appointments have included positions as the Undergraduate Program Director, Associate Dean and Acting Dean for the Odette School of Business.
Martha’s current research focuses on two streams: entrepreneurship, particularly women entrepreneurs and most recently the experiences of immigrant entrepreneurs in Canada and on human rights in the workplace. Dr Reavley has published in numerous international journals on entrepreneurship, human rights issues in the workplace and employment equity.
Martha’s consulting in the Change Management area included a four year appointment at Ford Motor Company. She consults and offers training in the areas of Leadership and Change and in Team Building for Organizational Effectiveness.
An outstanding, student-centred teacher, Martha is the 2011 recipient of the University of Windsor Alumni Association Excellence in Mentoring Award.
Student teams under her guidance learn leadership skills through the creation and execution of innovative fund raising projects. These teams have contributed over $750,000 to local community groups.
Dr Reavley designed the Women’s Enterprise Skills Training Centre which has successfully offered training, education and employment opportunities to unemployed and under-employed visible minority women for over 25 years.
Martha provides community leadership through membership of the fund raising committee for Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation and with Workforce Windsor Essex.
