Maureen Cureton is a management consultant, researcher, writer, and educator. Ms. Cureton collaborates on strategic planning and management for a variety of firms in transition and early-stage development in the natural resources, biotechnology, telecommunications, new media, and e-commerce sectors. She works with businesses, governmental and non-governmental organizations, providing expertise in research and development, marketing and communications, planning and operations.

Ms. Cureton develops curriculum and teaches courses and workshops at B.C. Open University/Thompson River University, Royal Roads University, and other colleges and private institutions. She has published technical reports and articles, and co-authored three books. She was project manager, and co-author of Green Development: Integrating Ecology & Real Estate, a case studies book on sustainable development that received outstanding reviews and is widely distributed among professionals and academics in the U.S., Canada, Japan (Japanese translation), and other countries. Her academic education includes an undergraduate degree in Natural Resource and Environmental Management from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, as well as studies in the B.C. Provincial Instructor Diploma program. A life-long learner, Ms. Cureton has also completed numerous professional development courses and certificates programs in renewable energy technologies, leadership and business management, and adult education.

She serves as a Small Business Advisor to E-Source, Inc. (a division of McGraw-Hill), a company providing value-added energy-efficiency service strategies for commercial and institutional sectors. She is also a member of the Board of the British Columbia Ethics in Action (EIA) Society, and serves on the committee planning the annual EIA awards for socially and environmentally responsible businesses in B.C.
