Within the Faculty of Management, he has taught Marketing Management and Global Issues in Management to various MBA Cohorts as well as Strategic Management in the Bachelor of Commerce Program. Over the last several years, Mr. Sullivan has developed proficiencies in international on-line teaching and learning.
Currently, Mr. Sullivan holds the position of MBA Program Director at the University College of Bahrain. Prior to this, Mr. Sullivan held the position of Senior Marketing and Vendor Relations Manager for EMPORI, a subsidiary of Oxford Properties Development Group.
Mr. Sullivan was also employed with the Bata Shoe Organization. His duties resulted in two postings abroad. In 1999, Mr. Sullivan was dispatched to the Caribbean and was charged with the task of centralizing the English and Dutch Caribbean Bata Operations and Marketing. The region covered comprised of various Caribbean countries including the Bahamas, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Vincent, St. Kitts, Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire.
In addition, Mr. Sullivan was the Marketing Manager for Athletes World Europe, a division of the Bata Shoe Organization were he was based at the European Retail Office in Padova, Italy. His duties allowed him to travel and work extensively throughout Europe and North America. Prior to the European posting, Mr. Sullivan worked at the corporate and retail offices of Bata in Toronto, Canada coordinating the development and implementation of 'Nike Shops by Athletes World'.
While working for the Bata Shoe Organization and EMPORI, he became a proponent of consistent strategic communication and marketing management across organizations. He believes this is particularly needed, as international trade barriers are reduced and the flow of goods, communication and people increases.
The time living overseas has given Mr. Sullivan an enhanced perception of Canada and the Canadian standard of living. Not all first world countries are created equal. Canada helps bring up the average. Mr. Sullivan is married to Katherine. Both enjoy combining their passion for travel and wine into vacations that allow them to imbibe in local culture and culinary creations. After hanging up the 'boots' several years ago, Mr. Sullivan has once again taken to the game of Rugby as a member of the Bahrain Golden Oldies.
