Dr. Steven Glover is an Associate Professor with the Faculty of Management, responsible for courses in information technology and operations management, and Director of the School of Business. To support his teaching in this area, Steven draws upon his 30-year career in the information technology industry, as well as his experience as a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting.

Steven began his working life as a computer technician, but found the business aspects of information technology were of greater interest. This resulted in his taking on sales, marketing and management roles, and a return to school to learn more about the use of technology to achieve business goals. Following the completion of his MBA at Ivey, he joined Deloitte Consulting, becoming a partner in 2001. During his consulting career, Steven provided advice regarding the implementation and management of information technology to clients such as BC Hydro, the US Postal Service and Monsanto; and conducted engagements in operations improvement for organizations including BC Gas, Canada Post and the Richmond Hospital.

Steven earned his CMC designation in 1993, and has been an active member of the BC Institute, including serving on the board. Steven received his doctorate from the Sauder School of Business at UBC. His area of research covers the ways in which businesses are able to use IT tools to reduce the risk consumers experience in buying on the web
